Nutritional value: Lady’s finger (okra) is easy to add to diet. It is rich in vitamins and magnesium that help in improving brain health and heart health. Okra can even reduce blood sugar. It is very much helpful for pregnant women for whom okra aid in preventing neural tube defects.

Ingredients: onions, chilies, lady’s finger, salt, chili powder, spices

Chop chilies vertically and onions in small cubes

Heat the pan and add oil

First of all add half tea spoon of mustard seeds, cumin to oil and let in fry

Add chopped chilies and onions

Add a pinch of turmeric powder and salt to onions

To the cooked onions add thinly chopped lady’s finger

Add salt as per taste and mix it well

Allow to cook pieces properly

Add salt and chili powder as per taste before turning off flame

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot

Tips: 

Always cook okra in high heat to reduce sliminess. 

Clean okra in water and dry it on cloth before chopping thin to reduce sliminess.

 Adding pinch of salt hastens frying onions
