Agricultural College, Bapatla is not just a memory....

 India lives in villages as basic civilization was born here.

Indian economy found strength in villages as Agriculture found its roots here..

Agriculture being science to sustain life, an art to attract and passion to lead....influenced our young minds and invited us to the temple of learning...Agricultural college, Bapatla...

Right from the day we, BA-11 batch stepped in agricultural college till date we feel it is not just college to award degrees but an emotional bonding that awarded us life....

From the day we stepped into B V NATH AUDITORIUM to register the course, to the day we bid our farewell in same place...we secured memories which was written in our hearts as well as on every inch of campus

On our first days class in GALLARY HALL(AB batch) and LIFE SCIENCE BUILDING (CD batch), we felt as a learning home...little did we know then these places will fill our life gallery with seven colors in nature...yes, it’s our hub of  morals, knowledge, inspiration, skills, fun, friends and family...

From the fresher’s day that started with offering gratitude to farmers statue in the campus, till date we find strength on site of statue sitting anywhere in the world... For us it is not just a statue, it the path shower that paved way depicted with kindling on his right hand....it is the home that shelters during strikes for securing our rights depicting with his flying upper garment…it is the support that gave immense inspiration depicting with strength in his shoulders...it is a weapon that cuts ignorance and sows skills depicting with plough in his right hand...Is the inspiration to step forward depicting with his poster..Yes farmer’s statue is our emotion...

With the quote of 'enter to learn', we entered into class rooms....teachers taught us and opened windows of thoughts to travel in right path. If seventy five percent attendances is half reason for us to attend classes, teachers and friends were rest of the reason. For our budding brains who saw agriculture fields  everyday and who barely find agriculture fields, professors showed us real soul of agriculture, culture that sustain life while ANGRAU regional library with its enormous books showed us real heart of agriculture science, principles of cultivation where as agriculture farm showed us real beauty of agriculture, art of growing plants.

With greenery everywhere greeting us on path, we found athletes and sport persons in the pavilion. Pavilion is place which refreshes us as well as mold us to best players. With colorful Gulmohar flowers everywhere greeting us on path, we found dancers, singers in auditorium. Auditorium is place which rejuvenates us. With the yellow Pelthophora flowers everywhere greeting us on path, we found writers, speakers and artists in new white building. It is cluster of departments which recreates us. Ag college, Bapatla is place which gave us opportunity to find our talent, our interests and what not.. ourselves in circular and co-circular activities. We became part in winning overall championship at college and university level.

To acknowledge Annual success of College, we Celebrate college day as a family. On this occasion, we being students as backbone of college with strength of professors and alumni members cherish the day on may...

From Vemana, Potana, Siddartha sheltering boys, Niveditha sheltering girls to class rooms molding us, we celebrate hostel day with game stalls in pavilion and auditorium on next day of college day... Entire year how many days we may celebrate, we used to wait for May month just to cherish college and hostel days...

In little period, Agricultural college campus became our world. Still we do had connection with world outside campus.. It built true patriotic feeling by making our way to unity in diversity. We sat for months together in strikes. From strikes to procure good hostel facilities to strikes for samaikyandra...we fought for justice.  It is place which taught us to fight for our rights, to raise voice against injustice.

With the quote of 'leave to serve', we left the campus to serve by being in agriculture sector as ao, aeo vaa and managers, financial sector as bank so, teaching sector as teaching associates, research sector as research scholars, management sector as mangers in agriculture related private companies....still we are striving to serve nation in administration too with principles college thought us.

75 years of agricultural college gave birth to AG FAMILY. Wherever you go in entire country, whatever may be the sector...Research, Teaching, Extension, Management, Administration...you will find an Ag family member in your way as well as destination to show brotherly ambiance. That is the reason why agricultural college, Bapatla is not just a memory…it is the passion.
