Be a 80’s kid or 90’s kid, only male play backsinger that ruled our hearts is S. P. Balu. To music lovers, day starts with his voice, goes on with his voice and ends with his voice as his voice has charming effect.

Breathtaking beats…

Credit of singing song at a go without taking breath without missing a bit of emotion in the voice always crown S. P. Balu. He is first to sing breathless song in movie “ O papa lali” in which S. P Balu acted and sung a song called “ Mate rani chinnadani kallu palike oosulu….”.  He has such an ability to sing same song in kannada language too without any lacuna.  An another breatless song sung  in movie ‘Adhbutham’ (telugu), ‘Amarkalam’ (tamil) is “ Nityam yekanta kshaname adiga…”  he has uttered about 360 words in 3 mins song without missing emotion in lyrics. I wonder ever how blessed he is by music goddess. May be we are blessed to have a gem in music world.

Voice to soul…

As a dubbing artist, he lend his voice to many characters that made the characters in movies more lively. In an south Indian movie “Dasavataram”, the voice behind characters lead by Kamal Hasan belongs to S. P. Balu. Be it a old womens voice or young man voice, modulations in his voice depict entire plot.

Living in an act…

People may call it as action or anything else, but we can witness S. P. Balu living in the character of “Appadasu” in telugu movie “Mithunam”.  His matured elderly role mixed with tinge of childish nature along with his wife during old age shows emotions of parents and love of couples. Fact to say after seeing Tanikella Bharani’s mithunam movie, I tried different recipes in kitchen. S. P. Balu’s living in act made me realize delicious dishes and richness of vegetarian meals.

Winning immortality..

For his impeccable voice and devotion to music, he won prestigious civilian awards like Padma shri (2001) and Padma Bhushan (2011) from Government of India. Along with this, he won nandi awards, film fare awards and much more. Apart from all of these awards he won many hearts in which he lives till his song lives whose life is eternal. He won immortality with his voice.
