The
Indian council of agricultural research (ICAR) is an apex body in India for
coordinating education and research on agriculture in entire country. On behalf of ICAR, national testing agency
(NTA) conducts all India entrance exam for admission (AIEEA) to UG, PG, P h D
in state agriculture universities with scholarships and fellowships.

Who
can write these exams: eligibility?
1. Age : Indian
Nationals not below 19 years
2. Education:
passed graduation with four/six (10+6 B.Sc. Ag.)/five years’ (B.V.Sc. & AH)
degree programme from any public funded/Govt. institution (Candidates passed
out from private Agricultural Universities/Colleges not accredited by ICAR,
even though affiliated to public funded/Govt. are not eligible)
3. The
Candidate must have passed Bachelor degree examination securing Overall Grade
Point Average (OGPA) of at least 6.60/10.00 in ten-point scale, 3.25/5.00 in
five-point scale, 2.60/4.00 in four-point scale for General, OBC, UPS and EWS
categories whereas for SC/ST/Person with Disability (PwD) candidates, the said
requirement is an OGPA of at least 5.60/10.00, 2.75/5.00, 2.20/4.40,
respectively
CALENDER:
Notification date: March every year
Date of examination: JUNE
Result and online counseling: July to August
What
will be mode of exam?
Mode of examination: Computer based test (CBT)
Duration: 120 min (2:00 hrs)
Number of questions: 120 multiple choice questions (50 for each subject)
Medium of exam: English
NOTE: Each question carries 4 marks and -1 negative marking for each wrong
answer.
