Unveiling her victory...

"Chocolate....i won!!!" riya screamed with joy as i lost the game and owe her a chocolate. Sometimes she is too childish. "fine fine...i will give you" i assured. But she wanted it right now so its my turn to go super market "you never spare me.."  i said rolling my eyes at her. Holding the wallet, i asked her "anything else?!". Riya started thinking like a top official making decisions and told "nothing...you can leave.." "O god...." i came out laughing on recalling her deeds.

As usual super market is rush. I stepped into super market and started my search. I had a habit of roaming around supermarket sections just to see products and offers. When i reached row with chocolates and biscuits, my eyes found a girl standing in the same section. May be she is a high school student and she is tall with big and bright eyes. But her eyes keeps searching. She is not searching for any products. She is just staring at womens working in that supermarket who  is busy in weighing and packing groceries and vegetables. Girl stood at that place for a while. I reached her end as chocolates are placed on rack present in front of her. I am fascinated as my eyes follows her eyes movement and its travels from weighing machine, women weighing vegetables,  billing counter, rack in front of her and next rack where stationary items are placed. I am having clear idea now, little girl is hesitating to buy sanitary napkins. She is staring at women working in the supermarket as she used to reach the people who came to stationary section, ask them what do they want, wraps it in a newspaper, heads to billing counter to say price. People just need to pay bill and can leave. I too had similar encounter with that women earlier. As it is first weekend of month, supermarket is busier than any other normal day. Its been half n hour girl is waiting their. Shall i talk to that little girl?!.. My inner voice said 'no, it wont work, even though it works she will seek help again in purchasing sanitary napkins'.
I lost in my thoughts as it is not easy thing. I too had such hesitation during my earlier days. I felt same urge of hiding and moving at faster pace while holding sanitary napkin to avoid peoples eyes. Even though everyone is busy in their work, i used to feel that they were staring at me while buying pads. I can understand young girl's emotions even now as I have been in that place innumerable times. With time i overcome that hesitation may be due to its every month necessity and its not a big deal to hide napkins as they are not prohibited ones.

I took a toffee present just in front of her and she saw me. I gave a her a smile and asked to give space to move even though their is enough space. How stupid i am. I moved crossing her to the next rack, stationary section. I can sense her gaze follows my path. As i reached sanitary napkin rack, i started searching different brands and different sizes of napkins. Meanwhile she is staring at me, i took a pack from each brand  and observing its specifications. I saw many people moving across the section for the products they want and no one has any interest in staring a girl buying sanitary napkin. Not only me, little girl with bright eyes too notices same thing. Finally i pick a pack and returned to chocolate rack to buy another chocolate and stood beside her. She is looking at me and my hand where it lies a bare pads pack. Knowing that little girl observing me i went to billing counter and handover my chosen products to billing staff to get it billed. I paid the bill and about to leave super market, standing at the door i turned back to see the girl who is staring at me. I gave a smile and i got pleasant smile in return. I came out and waiting at doorsteps. I saw bright eyed girl  paying bill at billing counter from glass walls of supermarket. She herself brought sanitary napkin without anyones assistance. I felt happy. She came out. I brushed her hair and complemented her  "brave girl.." . I offered her a chocolate. Her sweet voice said "thankyou sister, but sorry i cant accept chocolates...." I smiled at her "thats good...take this. Its my gift " and handed her a pen, "Good luck my dear brave girl". She took pen by saying "thankyou sister". She waved me good bye and  we parted our ways back to home both with sign of victory.
